Travel day!

Day In My Life

📅 Date: May 8th, 2024

🌅Morning Routine: woke up at 7:30 am.

Got the kiddos breakfast, took my meds (was fighting a horrid sinus and ear infection for days with a fever) 🤒

Did my last minute packing for my flight. 🧳

Got things in order for the boyfriend to have an easier time with the kids.

Got myself dressed and the kids.

🌤Afternoon Routine:

Checked in to the airport, realized my flight was delayed two hours and pushed my day back five hours. 😩

Got through my first flight. ✈️

Did some walking around the airport 🚶🏼‍♀️

Hydration And snackage 💧🌯

Journaled a bit ✏️

Took off on my second flight and caught a nap 💤

🌃Night Routine:

gathered my checked bags

Caught the shuttle to the Lyft pick up area

Checked into the hotel

Ordered DoorDash

Caught a hot shower and exfoliate after a long day of travel

relaxed and watched tv and passed out by 9:30 pm PST

Traveling can be both exciting and challenging, especially when you're also a parent. Managing kids, health, and logistics is a delicate balancing act. If you're planning a flight, packing efficiently is key. Consider organizing your luggage according to use; keep essentials at the top for easy access. Hydration is crucial during long travels, so pack a reusable bottle. Airports can become overwhelming, so having some snacks handy can save the day. Don’t forget to incorporate downtime, like journal writing or catching a nap if you have layovers. After reaching your destination, take a moment to unwind before diving into your planned activities. This post recalls how an unplanned two-hour flight delay affected the day and reminds us all to stay flexible during our travels. With the right mindset, travel can be a memorable adventure, even for busy parents!
