As someone who's always been drawn to the paranormal, the story of the Annabelle doll has often sent shivers down my spine. Frightened and confused, Donna and Angie consulted a medium, who claimed the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a young girl named Annabelle Higgins, who had tragically died on their property years ago. Feeling compassion, they allowed the 'spirit' to stay in the doll. However, things escalated quickly. Angie's boyfriend, Lou, became a target of the doll's malevolent activity, experiencing nightmares and even being physically attacked, sustaining scratch marks that appeared out of nowhere. It was at this point that they realized this wasn't a benevolent spirit. Desperate for help, they contacted Ed and Lorraine Warren, the famous demonologists and paranormal investigators. After their investigation, the Warrens concluded that the doll wasn't actually possessed by a human spirit, but rather manipulated by an inhuman demonic entity. This entity had feigned being a little girl's spirit to gain acceptance and then intended to possess one of the occupants. The Warrens explained that demonic entities cannot possess inanimate objects like dolls, but they can attach themselves to them and use them as conduits. Recognizing the profound danger, the Warrens took the ANNABELLE DOLL to their Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. There, they placed it in a specially constructed glass case, which is where it remains to this day. The purpose of the case, and the infamous 'Positively Do Not Open' sign, is not just for show; it's a critical containment measure. The Warrens believed the entity inside was still active and capable of influencing those who provoked it or didn't respect its containment. There are various accounts of people who mocked the doll or touched its case, only to later experience unfortunate accidents or even fatalities. So, while many wonder if the original ANNABELLE DOLL is 'on tour,' the truth is far more chilling. The real doll is still securely housed, a constant reminder of the unseen forces that can exist. It makes you really think, why would anyone try to see her outside of that protective barrier?
