Destination Wedding 🏝️ thoughts – Yay or Nay?
When I received an invite to my boyfriend cousin’s destination wedding in Mexico, I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. Here are the pros and cons I considered:
PROS 👍🏻
1. Perfect excuse to travel somewhere exotic and make lasting memories.
2. The settings are often breathtaking, offering a more memorable event.
3. Smaller guest lists mean more quality time with close friends and family.
👎🏻 CONS
1. It was a very very expensive hotel. For one week, two guests for a room was over $4,000…just for the room
2. Traveling with my boyfriends family was very interesting and a bit messy
3. Not a lot of alone time, had to be with his family 90% of the time
In the end, while destination weddings can be wonderful adventures, they also demand a significant commitment from guests.
