I picture her saying things like, "I was a dick," when reflecting on past mistakes, truly meaning it when she thinks, "I love you, I'm sorry" to someone she hurt. This internal conflict makes her incredibly compelling. She's not afraid to speak her mind, often "speaking in code" to protect herself, but she desperately yearns for genuine connection.
