And yes, the thought of a scandalous forbidden romance – like "hooking up with a teacher" – definitely adds a layer of forbidden fruit to their already complicated lives. It makes their story feel more real, more dramatic, and more like the kind of raw, emotional journey you'd expect from the Outer Banks.
