Let’s work on my journal 🌸💋

2025/7/7 Edited to

... Read moreEver stumbled upon those dreamy journal spreads online and thought, "How do they make their pages look so effortlessly aesthetic?" Well, I've been there, and I'm here to spill my secrets on achieving that perfect journaling aesthetic, especially with my beloved Molinta journal! For me, a journaling aesthetic isn't just about making things pretty; it's about creating a space that feels uniquely 'me' and inspires me every time I open it. It’s a blend of visual harmony, thoughtful layouts, and delightful little details that make your entries a joy to revisit. The Molinta journal, with its inherently cute vibe, is the perfect starting point for this creative journey. One of the biggest game-changers for elevating my journal's look has been embracing a consistent (but not rigid!) color palette. Think about the mood you want to convey. Are you going for soft pastels, vibrant pops, or earthy tones? Molinta's designs often feature bright and cheerful colors, which makes it easy to pick a theme. For instance, I recently got my hands on the Molinta Color Series Washi Tape, specifically the "Color Series No.1 Washi Tape," and I’m absolutely obsessed with the "Red one" for adding a bold, energetic touch to my weekly spreads. With 11 different colors in the series, it's so much fun mixing and matching! When it comes to actual decorating, Washi Tape is my absolute best friend. It’s versatile, easy to use, and instantly adds texture and pattern. I use it for so many things: creating borders around photos or important notes, dividing sections on a page, or simply layering different patterns for a whimsical effect. Sometimes, I even use thin strips to create a faux grid for a more organized look. The beauty of Molinta Color Series Washi Tape is that it complements the journal's playful illustrations perfectly. Beyond Washi Tape, don't underestimate the power of other small details. Stickers, stamps, and even different colored pens can transform a plain page. I love using stickers that match my chosen color scheme or theme for the week. And speaking of themes, try dedicating each section or spread to a particular topic or mood – it helps maintain visual coherence. For example, if I'm doing a spread on "Health" or self-care, I might use softer greens and blues, perhaps with some cute fruit stickers, like a little "RED TOMAT" or a slice of "cheese" from my sticker stash. Another aspect I've grown to appreciate is the sensory experience, often called "ASMR Journaling With Molinta." The rustle of paper, the quiet snip of the tape, the smooth glide of a pen – it’s incredibly calming and adds another layer of enjoyment to the process. It's not just about the end result, but the mindful journey of creating. My top tip for anyone wanting to dive into journaling aesthetics? Start small. Don't feel pressured to make every page a masterpiece. Experiment with different layouts, doodle in the margins, and find what brings you joy. It's your journal, your aesthetic, and your unique way of expressing yourself. So grab your Molinta journal, some colorful Washi Tape, and let your creativity flow!
