One of the things I realized early on is the importance of consistent practice and staying motivated, even when progress seems slow. I started tracking my daily dance sessions and set small weekly targets to build momentum. Often, it's easy to get overwhelmed by a big number like 10,000, but breaking it down into achievable chunks made a huge difference. I also found that engaging with communities online, such as dance forums and social media platforms, helped keep my enthusiasm alive. Tags like #dance and #fyp are great for discovering new moves and connecting with others who share the same passion. Watching others’ content inspired me to try styles outside my comfort zone, which not only improved my skills but made the process more fun. Another key lesson is celebrating small wins. Whether it was mastering a tricky step or simply showing up for a practice session, acknowledging progress helped me maintain a positive mindset. This journey is not just about reaching the goal but growing as a dancer and enjoying every moment. Incorporating diverse styles and rhythmic variations kept the practice fresh and prevented burnout. From hip-hop beats to freestyle moves, I made sure to explore different aspects of dance, which also helped me improve overall coordination and timing. If you’re pursuing a big goal like 10K in dance or any other passion, my advice is to stay patient and flexible, adapt your plan as you learn more about yourself, and lean on the support of your community. There's nothing like the thrill of seeing your progress add up, step by step, dance by dance.
