You know, it's funny how often we ask ourselves, 'Who am I, really?' It feels like one of those deep, philosophical questions you ponder late at night, but it's actually something I've been reflecting on a lot lately. Especially since this introduction is long overdue! For so long, my online presence was just about the 'what' – what I do, what I teach. But today, I want to talk a little about the 'who', and how my identity has really solidified through my journey with Remodel Media. When I started Remodel Media back in late 2018, posting videos on YouTube, I honestly didn't fully grasp how much it would become a core component of my identity. What truly defines me isn't just the fact that I create content, but why I create it and the incredible community we've built. I noticed a significant gap: there were tons of videos showing you how to install a toilet, how to fix a sink, or how to replace a faucet. All super helpful, but virtually nobody was actually talking about the products themselves. How do you actually make sense of all the options? How do you choose a particular toilet that genuinely fits your needs? That's where I found my purpose, and subsequently, a significant part of my identity. My passion isn't just about showing you how to do things, but empowering you to make *good remodel decisions*. It's about demystifying the choices, explaining the 'why' behind different products, and helping you invest wisely in your home. This mission became a driving force, shaping not just my content but also how I see myself. Building Remodel Media on Instagram, TikTok (where we've grown to 52,000 people!), and YouTube (with 5000 amazing subscribers!) has been an incredible journey of self-discovery. Each follower, every comment, and every question reinforces that I'm not just a guy with a camera, but someone dedicated to practical, product-focused remodeling advice. My identity is interwoven with this brand, this community, and this commitment to helping you navigate the often-overwhelming world of home improvement. It's about sharing my expertise, learning from your experiences, and collectively making homes better, one informed decision at a time. This creative outlet, this platform, is truly a huge component of who I am today. It's more than just a job; it's a way of life that has allowed me to connect with so many of you who are just as passionate about creating functional and beautiful spaces. The feedback I receive, the success stories you share – they all become part of my own narrative. My identity isn't static; it's constantly evolving with each new project, each new product review, and each new conversation within the Remodel Media family. So, when you ask 'Who am I?', I can confidently say I am a guide, an educator, a decision-maker, and a community builder, all wrapped up in the Remodel Media brand.
