This is who I am - this is my core sense of purpose - no matter what I happen to be “doing”
And this is what I mean when I ask coaching students “ how connected are you to your purpose?” Can you talk easily about it?
Because until you build a strong foundation of your core messaging based on your identity, you won’t be able to build strong, impactful resonant marketing - this is why creatives tell me they “don’t know what to post”
I have been talking about this for years in my coaching, but because so many people are now using AI to help them with their businesses, this is becoming even more important - because you have to give whatever AI platform you’re using as much context as possible for the output to be good
And what I’m seeing is that a lot of you guys are unable to use AI platforms to their fullest potential because you haven’t done the foundational work in your marketing first
Nobody really taught you that when you decided to start charging people for a service that you just happen to be good at - and that’s why I do what I do
If you are a solopreneur or a creative business owner of any kind, your business is a reflection of how you feel
When you create from a strong foundation, everything feels easier - especially when you add some proven strategies to the mix 🙌🏼

Building a business on your core sense of purpose isn’t just motivational—it’s a strategic necessity, especially in today’s AI-driven marketplace. When I started my journey as a creative entrepreneur, I often struggled with what to post or promote because my messaging lacked clarity and a solid foundation. It wasn’t until I deeply connected with my identity—understanding who I am and why my work matters—that my marketing started to flow naturally and attract the right audience. The power of being unapologetically yourself in your marketing cannot be overstated. The OCR content highlights this beautifully: "At the very heart of every single thing that I do... I want you to be the most unapologetic version of you that you possibly can." This means embracing your unique gifts and sharing them confidently. When your marketing is built intentionally on your authentic self, clients are magnetically drawn to you, making your offerings not just seen but sought after. With AI platforms like Claude becoming popular tools for creative businesses, the need for strong foundational messaging is even more critical. AI tools rely heavily on the context and information you provide. If your core purpose and messaging aren’t clear, the AI output will lack depth and relevance. By investing time to articulate your 'why' and your unique value, you empower AI to generate content that truly reflects your brand’s essence. In practical terms, I recommend solopreneurs and creatives start by journaling what drives them and what impact they want to create. From there, build consistent messaging that echoes this purpose across your posts, emails, and podcasts. Over time, integrating proven strategies with this foundation makes marketing feel easier and more authentic. Finally, let your marketing be a reflection of how you feel about your work and yourself. When you create from a place of confidence and clarity, your audience senses that, leading to more meaningful connections and repeat clients. If you’re exploring AI support for your business, don’t overlook the importance of this foundational work—it’s your secret weapon for success.
