Thinking of creating a course? You're in luck because today on the pod, I'm talking with Jasmine Jonte alllll about this process.
And we dig into all the UNEXPECTED things that come up along the way - not just the "how to create a good online course" stuff.
Maybe you are already in the process of creating a course - OR - maybe you spent weeks (or years) building something that feels really solid and then it just... didn't land the way you hoped.
Jasmine Jonte has produced over 120 programs and reached more than 100,000 students, and the number one mistake she sees is assuming your course audience is your current audience.
Sometimes they overlap. Often they don't.
She came on the podcast and broke down online course creation for creative entrepreneurs in a way I haven't heard anyone else talk about - including how your Human Design profile line is literally shaping how you teach without you knowing it.

Creating an online course is more than just assembling content—it's about crafting a truly transformative learning experience for your students. From my own journey of launching courses, I learned that assuming your current followers are your ideal course audience can be a costly mistake. It’s essential to research and understand who will benefit most from your course and tailor your content accordingly. One key to success is focusing on what will actually transform your learners’ lives. I remember hearing a pivotal question: "What is going to get my students from where they are to where they want to be?" Keeping this question front and center helped me design courses that resonate deeply and offer tangible value. Another unexpected factor is considering how your teaching style aligns with your own personality and natural strengths—even using tools like Human Design profiles to refine your approach. This helped me personalize my course delivery so that it feels natural and engaging both for me and my students. Don't underestimate the power of testing and iterating your course based on student feedback. Transformation comes through genuine connection and clear outcomes, not just polished presentations. Overall, creating an online course that truly impacts requires thoughtful planning, knowing your audience beyond assumptions, and embracing your unique teaching gifts. This approach has led to better student engagement and meaningful results, making the effort truly worthwhile.
