always a good time at cinespia cemetery screenings but you KNOW we had to be there for the 25th Anniversary of bazluhrmann ‘s absolute masterpiece that is MOULIN ROUGE 😍
when andrewsbowen and I saw this in the theaters, we had 3 kids under the age of 2 and life was HARD … we sat in the car in the parking garage after we saw it and I vividly remember telling him that I could feel the post pardum depression leaving my body 😅 and that anytime I needed to feel inspired, I’d watch it - and I have over the years
we’ve seen this movie so so many times & yet, last night, sitting under the palm trees and the sporadic helicopter, I was just as mesmerized by it as I was 25 years ago
I only wish we could have had a sing along 🤣 bc we know every single word 🙌🏼
and yes - the greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return ❤️
Attending Cinespia's outdoor movie screenings is a unique experience that blends the magic of cinema with the charm of a historic setting. Watching Moulin Rouge under the stars, surrounded by swaying palm trees and the ambient sounds of the city, adds a special layer of enchantment to an already captivating film. For many, this 25th anniversary screening is not just about seeing a beloved movie again, but about reconnecting with the emotions and inspiration it sparked years ago. In my own experience, outdoor movie nights like these create a community feel, bringing together fans old and new who share a passion for cinema. The vibrant atmosphere, combined with the nostalgia of classic films like Moulin Rouge, makes it a perfect way to unwind and feel a sense of belonging. Whether it’s singing along to every iconic song or simply soaking in the visuals and storytelling, these events offer a memorable respite from everyday life. Moulin Rouge’s themes of love, resilience, and artistic expression resonate deeply, especially when experienced in such an immersive environment. Its enduring appeal is a testament to Baz Luhrmann’s creative vision and the film’s ability to inspire across generations. For those who have faced challenges, like new parenthood or personal struggles, the film can offer comfort and motivation—reminding viewers that love and creativity are powerful forces. If you ever get the chance to attend a screening like Cinespia’s, I highly recommend it. Bring friends or family, prepare for singalongs, and immerse yourself in the cinematic magic that Moulin Rouge continues to deliver, perfectly framed by the unique Los Angeles setting. It’s more than just watching a movie—it’s experiencing a beloved masterpiece in a setting that amplifies its grandeur and emotional impact.
