#2 is tied to 💰
as a photographer myself and someone who has been a photography coach and mentor for over 10 years now, this honestly breaks my heart every time I see it
So many of you amazing, talented, incredible photographers are literally just scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to clients because of these two main issues
You don’t need a shiny new thing even though I know that is a fun, dopamine fueled solution
But it’s not a REAL solution because until you actually work with these two things - clearing your trauma of being seen and rewiring your ability to receive - no strategy will ever actually work for you because you won’t actually DO it
The other problem is that there are a lot of options now for photography education - which is a great thing, but it can also be a confusing thing for a creative overactive brain like most of us have
So you keep trying things on, and you can’t figure out why it worked for that person but not for you…..
I’m gonna tell you right now if you have invested in education or coaching and you still cannot get clients or you can’t sustain what you’ve been taught, it’s because you need to do the inner work FIRST
This is where my coaching is different because I don’t just teach you what worked for me - which wouldn’t it be helpful for you anyway because I started my business in 2007 when it was easy to find clients!
What I do is dig into YOUR business and we work at the identity level first, then we build strategies based on who your client is, where you’re located, and who you are as a person - and what is gonna work for YOU and your nervous system
comment COACH and let’s get started.
As a photographer and coach with over a decade of experience, I've witnessed countless creative professionals struggle not because of a lack of skill or marketing tactics, but because of deep inner blocks that hide their true potential. Two main issues often hold photographers back: unresolved trauma related to being seen and a blocked ability to receive compliments, money, or success. When you think about marketing, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing the latest shiny gear or trend-driven strategies. But these external solutions barely scratch the surface if you don’t first clear the wounds that make you hesitate to fully show up. Sometimes this ‘wound’ comes from past programming or negative experiences that cause fear around visibility. If you’re afraid to be seen authentically, no amount of posting or networking will feel sustainable or effective. Moreover, there’s an energy aspect to receiving. Many creatives subconsciously block receiving compliments or money because of limiting beliefs. Until you rewire this in your nervous system, your efforts to attract clients can feel stalled. I’ve seen photographers reinvigorate their business simply by working through these core issues. This inner work creates a powerful foundation that allows marketing strategies to actually take hold and produce results. You start taking consistent and confident actions instead of abandoning tactics mid-way. Additionally, the abundance of photography education today is a double-edged sword. While it’s great to have many options, it can overwhelm you and fragment your focus. The trick is to tailor strategies to WHO YOU are, where you operate, and what your ideal client needs, instead of copying copycat formulas. If you’ve tried courses and coaching but still can’t maintain client momentum, prioritize your inner work first. Address your visibility wounds and blocked receiving patterns. From there, build customized growth strategies that honor your identity and nervous system. In my coaching, I don’t teach a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I help you discover your unique path and create a marketing plan aligned with your real self. This approach has helped many photographers step from hiding into thriving. Remember, success starts with believing you deserve it and feeling safe to be visible. Once you clear these inner obstacles, a steady client base and financial flow can follow naturally.
