私も管理している千葉の海岸で何度か豪雨後の災害状況を目の当たりにしてきました。特に河口付近の水流は豪雨の翌日でも非常に強く、普段よりも波の変化や水の流れが読みにくく危険が増します。流木やゴミが浮遊していると、うっかり巻き込まれてケガをするリスクもあります。 気象情報や河川情報、自治体の発表をまめにチェックし、安全が確認できるまでは入水を控えるのが得策です。実際に私は強い流れに巻き込まれたサーファーの事故現場に遭遇したことがあり、それ以来「今日入れるか」ではなく「今日入るべきか」の慎重な判断の重要性を強く感じています。 また、雷雲接近のサインがあれば即座に海から上 がるべきです。雷が多い時期は特に海での落雷事故が増えています。安全第一で、仲間やSNSを活用して注意喚起を広げることも大切です。 水質も豪雨後は衛生面で問題が起きやすいため、自治体の正式情報を必ず確認してください。感染症リスクや皮膚疾患のリスクもゼロではありません。 こうした自然の危険に対し私たちサーファーは謙虚に向き合い、「海は逃げない」ことを心に留めて賢明な判断をしましょう。安心・安全に海を楽しむために、日々のニュースと環境の変化に目を配ることが何よりも大切です。
