When I’ve hit emotional lows, embracing God’s patient love allowed me to stop forcing myself to “fix” everything alone. Instead, surrendering to His restorative power brought peace that repaired my spirit from the inside out. Psalm 23:3’s message, "He restores my soul," isn’t just comforting—it's a promise rooted in God’s nature as a faithful shepherd. I’ve learned that restoration involves rest, as emphasized in the devotional’s reminder that rest is holy work. Slowing down and allowing God to replenish those worn, tired parts is critical to healing. Furthermore, God doesn’t throw away our brokenness but gathers and strengthens what feels lost and weak. This process often starts with intentionally asking, as the devotional suggests, "Where in my life do I need God to restore what's been worn down?" Through honest reflection and prayer, we open ourselves to His renewing presence. In my journey, the imagery of being led "beside quiet waters" became very real—a metaphor for the calm and peace I found when I trusted God’s timing and care.
