Is this ILLEGAL?
Okay real talk: Botak isn’t just a hawker stall selling illegally delicious bowls of porridge…they’re also a Give.Asia partner providing 500 free bowls every month to elderly neighbours and families in need 💛
That’s why I’m a fan… and why I’d smuggle a 🥣 anywhere 🤫✈️
✨ My team, Rice & Shine, is supporting this Give.Asia initiative under Give Fellows, and we’ve a goal of raising $1,000 by 26 Sep to help keep these bowls going.
We’re 6 days away and have currently managed to raise $145, thanks to our 8 wonderful givers so far 🫶
We need all the help we can get — even $1 makes a real difference 🙏

What truly inspires me about Botak isn’t just their famously tasty Cantonese porridge, but their commitment to the community. Partnering with Give.Asia, they generously provide 500 free porridge bowls each month to elderly neighbours and families facing hardship. It’s heartwarming to see food bring comfort and care to those who need it most. As part of the Rice & Shine team supporting this cause under Give Fellows, we’ve set a fundraising target of $1,000 to sustain this effort and help spread kindness further. Every donation, even as little as $1, makes a significant impact. I once joked about “smuggling” a bowl of Botak’s porridge onto a plane because it’s just that good — but the real joy comes from knowing these bowls are nourishing someone in need. It’s a reminder that sharing food goes beyond taste; it fosters community and hope. If you’ve ever wanted to support a grassroots initiative that combines delicious food with compassionate outreach, this is it. Consider joining us at give.asia/riceandshine and be part of something truly heartwarming. Together, we can keep the bowls coming and show our neighbours they’re cared for.

wow...Nice try...but still kum-lan to report yourself with the "crime" - even if it's just an empty bowl for your marketing afford 😏
