One of the biggest game-changers for me was really nailing down my morning routine. Beyond just "fixing sleep" (which is crucial, by the way!), I found that how I start my day sets the tone for everything else. I used to just stumble out of bed, but now I make sure to hydrate immediately, do a few minutes of stretching or light movement, and spend some time planning my day. This isn’t about being rigid; it’s about creating a sacred space for yourself before the demands of the day kick in. It’s amazing how these small daily habits, like acting on ideas for your morning, can lead to such a profound sense of control and calm. Integrating all these wonderful, life-changing habits into my entire daily life was the next challenge. It’s one thing to know you should be "delaying gratification" or "saying no" more often, but how do you actually do it consistently? For me, it became about intentionality. When faced with an impulsive purchase, I pause and think about my bigger financial goals. When a request comes in that doesn't align with my priorities, I practice politely declining, even if it's uncomfortable.
