An 'emotion,' on the other hand, is usually a more intense, short-lived reaction to a specific event or thought. For instance, you might feel a sudden burst of anger (an emotion) because someone cut you off, but then you might carry a grumpy mood for the rest of the morning. Understanding this difference has helped me put my feelings into perspective when I'm feeling upset or *worried*. And "where emotions are stored in the body"? It's not like there's a specific 'sadness' gland, but our emotions definitely manifest physically. Have you ever felt a knot in your stomach when you're *anxious*, or tension in your shoulders when you're stressed or *unfocused*? That's your body reacting! Our nervous system, hormones, and even our gut microbiome play a huge role. For me, when I'm feeling tired or *burnt out*, I often notice it first as a physical heaviness or a dull ache. Recognizing these physical cues is a simple solution to tuning into what my body is trying to tell me. Now, let's talk about the dangers of "suppressing emotions effects."
