John 3:18 (ESV)

“Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

O — Observation

Those who believe in Jesus are not under condemnation. Condemnation comes not because God desires to punish, but because people choose not to believe in Jesus. Unbelief keeps people separated from the life and truth God offers through His Son.

A — Application

Like Nicodemus, may we seek Jesus earnestly, even when understanding is not easy. May we not be deceived by what we see with natural eyes alone. Jesus says in verse 11 that people have seen yet still do not believe—may that not be true of us. Help us to place our faith fully in You so we do not miss the signs, wonders, and truth You are revealing.

P — Prayer

Lord Jesus, help me to believe fully in You and not rely on my own understanding. Remove every trace of doubt and deception from my heart. Give me faith to trust You, even when I don’t see clearly. I don’t want to miss what You are doing—open my eyes, strengthen my faith, and keep me from condemnation by anchoring me in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
