From a tattoo artist to a ceramic artist….
🙋I have been in the tattoo industry for almost nine years. In November last year, I suddenly had an idea. Can I, as a tattoo artist, transform my tattoo ideas into objects?
🏃🏻♀️So I started to learn about pottery. In November, I started to learn hand-kneading courses. In December, I learned wheel throwing. Ceramics gave me a lot of joy and also a lot of discouragement🤦🏻
My impatience at the beginning gradually improved, and I even had a faint Buddhist spirit🤷🏻
It has been exactly one year since I came into contact with ceramics. Although it took me a lot of time and energy, I gained a lot. At least my life has become very fulfilling. Sometimes I can create better tattoo ideas in ceramics.

Why is it called "fancygod"?
As a freelance tattoo artist and ceramic creator, observing the connection between the real world and fantasy has always been the focus of my research. Using ceramics as a medium to integrate various elements of tattoos, the concept of "fancy god" was born. "Fancy god" mainly wants to tell everyone that each of us is a unique individual. I hope that everyone in the world can find the "god" deep in their hearts, find the right direction, and take control of their own lives.
The journey from tattoo artist to ceramic artist is a testament to the power of creativity and personal exploration. After nearly a decade in the tattoo industry, the author ventured into pottery, embracing both the joy and challenges it presents. Through hand-kneading and wheel throwing courses, they honed their skills and discovered a new medium to express their unique tattoo ideas. Ceramics allowed for a connection between fantasy and reality, ultimately leading to the birth of the concept "fancygod". This idea underscores the belief that everyone possesses an individual essence akin to their inner "god". Such pursuits not only represent artistic growth but also highlight the importance of patience, self-discovery, and resilience in the creative process. Embracing the imperfections and learning curves gives rise to a fulfilling artistic life. As artists, finding innovative ways to express one's identity fosters a deeper understanding of the self and offers fresh perspectives in their primary craft, whether through tattoos or ceramics. Thus, this narrative resonates with many creative souls seeking to bridge various artistic mediums.
