台風シーズンには、雨雲の動きを正確に把握することがドライバーにとって命を守る鍵となります。私も防災運転コーチングに参加した経験から感じたのは、ただ情報を得るだけでなく、実際の運転ルートや普段訪れる地域の地形を理解することで、台風による雨の影響を具体的に想定できるようになるということです。 例えば、台風13号のように外側の雨雲の渦が長時間一地域にかかる場合は、車での移動時間帯やルートを考慮し、無理な外出を避けるなどの判断ができます。一方、熱帯低気圧は台風に比べて雨が弱いと言われていますが、その発達次第では局地的な豪雨になることもあるため、最新の気象衛星情報を見る習慣を持つことが大切です。 特に防災運転コーチングで強調されているのは、「運転手の目線で防災を味方につける」という考え方です。災害時は普段走行する道路が冠水したり、土砂崩れの危険がある場所を知らないと危険が増します。コーチングでは、地域の自然地形や雨雲群の動きを重視し、普段のルートや緊急避難ルートをあらかじめ確認しておくことを推奨しています。 私は一宮市の「森と川に咲く花」で開催される月一回の勉強会に参加し、気象衛星のスライダー機能を使った雨雲の動きの見方を学びました。これにより、台風15号の下に見られる雨雲群が台風のものなのか別のものかといった判断もしやすくなり、一層冷静に行動できるようになりました。 また、SNSやライブ配信を活用した情報発信も進められているので、若い世代も防災に関心を持ちやすくなっています。TikTokなどでのライブ配信はエンターテイメント要素が薄い分難しさもありますが、地域の安全を自ら考えるきっかけとして価値があります。 防災運転コーチングは、単なる防災知識の習得以上に、日々の生活や仕事で車を使う人にとって実用的で役立つ内容が満載です。ぜひ地域の勉強会やオンライン情報を活用して、台風や雨雲の特徴を把握し、安全な行動につなげていただきたいと思います。
