The winner does take it all and somewhat

Getting gastric sleeve surgery was the absolute toughest decision I've ever had to make in my life. It's true for what they say, The winner takes it all but at what cost? Yes my stomach did get cut 80% and yes I did loose 145 lbs so far but there's the days of not eating, over eating, the mental battle and the days where overthinking and questioning "Did I make the right decision?"

At the end of the day I know it was definitely the right choice in getting baratric surgery but you don't know what someone is going through truly behind closed doors. My life has changed so much since getting surgery in 2023 and made some amazing connections.

I'm always looking to make new connections with people in the community regardless of getting bariatric sureegy or not. If you're on a journey or thinking about starting your own journey and this is a sign for you, this is it! Always down to chat with anyone day or night.

... Read moreDeciding to get gastric sleeve surgery was an incredibly challenging and deeply personal decision for me. Before undergoing the surgery, I weighed over 400 lbs and felt lost with no real purpose in life. I indulged in food and drink carelessly, which only compounded my health and self-esteem issues. The transformation I’ve experienced since the surgery in 2023 is profound, both physically and mentally. The surgery removed around 80% of my stomach, which naturally limited my food intake and led to a remarkable weight loss of 145+ lbs so far. But this journey is not just about the pounds shed. There were days when I struggled with not eating enough, days of overeating, and countless moments of emotional and mental battles. It’s common to question yourself, wondering if you made the right choice. In addition to the physical changes, learning to love myself again has been a crucial part of healing. I rediscovered my passion for running, completing one full marathon and two half marathons, which seemed impossible before. This physical activity helped me reconnect with my body and appreciate what it can do when I treat it with respect and care. Embracing a healthier relationship with food has been equally important. Unlike before, where food was a source of comfort and sometimes despair, I now enjoy eating in a balanced and mindful way. This change didn’t happen overnight but has been vital for maintaining weight loss and overall wellbeing. Beyond my personal transformation, the support from the bariatric surgery community has been invaluable. Connecting with others on similar paths has provided encouragement and inspiration. Whether you’re considering bariatric surgery or already on your weight loss journey, know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to seek support, share your struggles, and celebrate your victories. If this resonates with you or you’re looking for someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out. The journey to better health and self-love is ongoing, and every day brings new opportunities to grow stronger and healthier. Remember, the winner does take much, but the real success lies in embracing every part of your journey—mental, physical, and emotional—and finding balance in the process.

When all I want to do is dress in long sleeves 🥲 This Supermán hoodie from hot topic has mesh in the sleeves, so it does help me keep somewhat cool. And the vintage Clash shirt I got from Etsy is 100% cotton. Maybe dressing for the summer isn’t too bad. Sadly I live in Arizona, so no matter how

Okay, so Elena Gilbert. She’s like the “girl next door” meets “eternally caught in supernatural chaos.” She starts off as this sweet, somewhat moody high school girl from Mystic Falls. You know, dealing with totally normal things like the tragic death of her parents and trying to hold her life toge
