Life Thoughts, Wednesday - 5-13-26
Hi, Here’s a Life Thought.
Complexity is the mask of a con artist. In 78 years, I’ve seen, and continue to see people chase exclusive deals and secret algorithms because they believe they’ve found a shortcut the rest of the world missed. But, here is the salesperson's truth: If a business depends on a “secret” that no one else can see, is it really a business? No, it’s a bubble, and like a bubble it will burst. Don’t let a fancy chart override your common sense. Newton forgot about gravity when he saw the stock rising; don’t make the same mistake with YOUR LIFE SAVINGS!
As always, be nice, be safe, and laugh a lot!
Talk tomorrow.
If you find value in my videos or even if they just make you laugh or think, please share them. I want to reach as many people as I can. Thank you for watching.

After decades of observing the world of investments, one clear lesson stands out: simplicity and transparency matter most. Many investors fall prey to the allure of secret algorithms or exclusive deals promoted as the next big shortcut to wealth. However, these often turn out to be unsustainable bubbles destined to burst, wiping out hard-earned savings. In my personal experience, successful and lasting investments rely on fundamentals that are clear and verifiable. If a business or strategy depends on secrecy or complexity no one else can understand, that should raise red flags. It reminds me of the classic mistake Newton made with gravity—seeing the stock rise made him ignore the inevitable fall. Similarly, we must guard against allowing excitement or fancy charts to override our common sense, especially with life-changing assets. Furthermore, protecting your financial well-being isn’t just about avoiding scams; it’s also about cultivating prudent habits like thorough research, skepticism towards too-good-to-be-true claims, and diversification of investments. I’ve learned that approaching money matters with patience, informed decisions, and a mindset of gratitude helps sustain both wealth and peace of mind. Besides financial wisdom, it’s important to embrace a balanced life mindset: being kind, staying safe, and remembering to laugh often. These principles enrich our journey and help us maintain perspective amidst uncertainty. In conclusion, trust yourself and your understanding when it comes to managing your life savings. Look beyond flashy promises and invest in what truly makes sense. By doing so, you can build a more secure and fulfilling future.
