We, too, are Americans, paid for with the blood of our colonial ancestors. Black children deserve to be proud of Americans, too.

Certain aspects of American history have been intentionally distorted, often by those seeking to hold others back and maintain their own power. As a result, the truth becomes a powerful threat to them, and the lies become an anchor for the rest of us, obstructing our progress as a united people.

For me, learning true American history was exhilarating. The truth is out there; sometimes, they make it hard to find.

Don’t just take my word for this; research it yourself and learn the real American history. The truth is out there, sometimes hard to find, but it’s there.

All Children, especially Black children, deserve the right to know their true history!
