Starbucks Copycat Cream Cheese Danish

Made a copycat version of the Starbucks cream cheese danish… and yeah, this came out right.

Flaky, buttery layers with that smooth, lightly sweet cream cheese center. It’s simple, but it gives bakery vibes without leaving the house.

Ingredients:

* 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

* 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

* ⅓ cup granulated sugar

* 1 tsp vanilla extract

* 1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional glaze:

* ½ cup powdered sugar

* 1–2 tbsp milk or water

Instructions:

1. Prep

Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Make filling

Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

3. Shape pastry

Roll out puff pastry and cut into rectangles. Lightly score a smaller rectangle inside (don’t cut all the way through).

4. Fill

Add cream cheese filling to the center section.

5. Egg wash

Brush edges with egg wash for that golden finish.

6. Bake

Bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden.

7. Glaze (optional)

Drizzle with glaze once slightly cooled.
