Regular watering is important, but I avoid wetting the foliage to help prevent fungal issues like black spot or powdery mildew. Feeding the plants with rose-specific fertilizers during the growing season encourages continuous blooms and strong growth. Pruning plays a big role: I typically prune in early spring to remove dead or weak stems, which helps air circulation and directs the plant’s energy into producing bigger blooms. Watching roses bloom after this care regimen is deeply rewarding. They not only add visual appeal but also attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, enriching the garden’s ecosystem.
