Beauty Board Spread
I'm challenging myself to practice hairstyles and makeup looks this week to feel more like myself, and to sharpen my skills (it's been awhile). I like the idea of having a little vision board at my fingertips every morning that I can change it week to week, matching fluctuations in my style/gender expression and energy. I plan to print all of the selfies at the end of the week to make a spread of the looks I've made.

Look for stunning makeup looks you want to try – maybe a bold lip color, a new eyeliner technique, or a fresh take on smoky eyes. For hairstyles, think about different updos, braids, cuts, or even hair accessories you’ve been eyeing. I scour fashion magazines, Instagram, TikTok, and even classic movies for ideas. Sometimes I'll even screenshot looks from my favorite celebrities or influencers. The goal is to build a collection of images that truly inspire you and make you think, "Yes, I want to try that!" Once you have your collection, start putting your beauty vision board together. Group similar makeup looks or hairstyles, or create sections for different moods or occasions. My current board, for example, has a section for "everyday glow" and another for "glam night out." The OCR mentioned "December 15-21 Beauty Inspo," which is a brilliant idea for themed weekly boards. You can also add notes about products you want to try or little affirmations to boost your confidence. It truly becomes a personal vision board for your style journey. The best part? It's not static! Just like my own challenge, you can change your board weekly or monthly to match how your style or even your gender expression evolves. Use it as a daily prompt: "What look am I trying today?" It keeps things fresh and helps you step out of your comfort zone.
