Cranberry Turkey Stuffing Balls
Ingredients:📝
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/2 cup onion, finely diced
1 tsp sage
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:📍
Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, dried cranberries, and breadcrumbs. Add the chopped parsley, diced celery, finely diced onion, sage, thyme, and rosemary, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Bind with Egg: Pour the beaten egg over the mixture to help bind the ingredients together. Using a spoon or your hands, gently fold the egg into the turkey mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated but not overly compacted.
Shape into Balls: Scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture and gently roll it between your palms to form a ball approximately 1 inch in diameter. Place each ball onto the lined baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each to allow for even browning.
Drizzle with Olive Oil: Lightly drizzle olive oil over each stuffing ball, helping them to achieve a golden, crispy exterior while baking.
Bake to Perfection: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Turn the baking sheet halfway through to ensure even cooking. Check for doneness by ensuring the meatballs are firm and golden brown, with an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
Serve Warm: Allow the stuffing balls to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a serving platter. Serve warm with a side of your favorite dipping sauce or a rich turkey gravy for added flavor.
