Sooooo, I'm 21 years old, and I watch cartoons more than i do anything else except during football season. Transformers are, always, have been, and always will be, my favorite cartoons of all time.
From the Very beginning in 1984 with the G1 Series, Beast Wars, Transformers Prime, Transformers Animated, Transformers Earthspark, I've Been addicted to Transformers cartoons my Entire Life, And people think I'm weird because " They are kids Cartoons".
But there's just so much to know about the Story of Cybertron and How the Autobots and Decepticons came to be on planet Earth after Millenia of Peace, followed by Eons Of war.

... Read moreIt's so validating to know I'm not alone in my adult cartoon obsession! Many of us who grew up with incredible animated stories find ourselves still drawn to them, not just for nostalgia but for the evolving narratives and complex characters. The 'born too early' or 'early life crisis' memes perfectly capture that feeling of a simpler time, yet today's cartoons often offer even deeper themes that resonate with adults.
While Transformers holds a special place in my heart – who doesn't love the epic battles for Cybertron, the unwavering wisdom of Optimus Prime, or the dynamic duo of Arcee and Bumblebee? – the world of animation offers so much more for adult viewers. Shows like Powerpuff Girls, which many of us watched as kids, still resonate with their blend of action, humor, and underlying social commentary. Even seemingly simple shows like Backyardigans can spark joy and nostalgia for a generation, proving that cartoons are a timeless form of storytelling.
Speaking of Transformers, the fandom is incredibly vibrant and diverse! I've seen some amazing fan art, exploring different relationships and interpretations of characters. For instance, the undeniable chemistry between Bumblebee and Arcee, or the heartwarming, unlikely bonds like Bulkhead and Miko, or even Jack and Miko in Transformers Prime, are frequently celebrated within the community. These fan creations often delve into aspects that the shows themselves might only hint at, showing how much adults connect with these characters on a deeper, emotional level. It's not just about robots fighting; it's about friendship, loyalty, and evolving relationships that mirror our own human experiences.
Some might search for 'naked moments in cartoons,' perhaps looking for adult humor or more mature themes. And while I'm not talking about *that*, it does highlight how cartoons can tackle complex subjects without being explicitly for children. From the moral dilemmas faced by characters like the menacing Unicron to the intricate political landscapes of Cybertron, animation has matured significantly. It allows creators to explore profound concepts, emotional depth, and even philosophical questions in a visually engaging format that appeals to all ages. It proves that animation isn't just a genre; it's a powerful medium capable of incredible, nuanced storytelling.
So, if you're like me, a 21-year-old (or older!) who still loves to dive into the animated worlds of Transformers, Powerpuff Girls, or any other beloved series, know that you're part of a huge, passionate community. Let's keep celebrating these incredible stories and the pure joy they bring, no matter our age!
I feel like you were never too old to watch cartoons, I still enjoy watching SpongeBob while I eat my dinner or watching Family Guy when I’m doing my homework
