Yao Li shines @SSH Academic Awards ‘25
Meet Chan Yao Li, Year 2 student from the Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science who won the most number of prizes at our recent Academic Awards Ceremony! 🎉
In Yao Li's speech 🗣️ , he shared how time management ⏱️ was his biggest struggle for his studies in his first year at RP - juggling school work 📚 and training for his CCA, RP Athletics 🏃🏻♂️. "I had to focus on what truly mattered for my growth. I made choices and sacrifices to help me improve."💪🏼
Yao Li continues his RP journey ready for #GreaterPossibilities and #GreaterImpact . 🌟
While the spotlight was on Chan Yao Li at the SSH Academic Awards, other talented students like Caleb Ong also inspire the community with their achievements. From my experience attending Republic Polytechnic events, it's clear that the institution nurtures diverse talents beyond academics, including sports and arts. Caleb Ong, for example, has been involved in various school activities that highlight leadership and creativity. Hearing stories like his and Yao Li’s motivates me to appreciate the different ways students grow and succeed at RP. The Polytechnic's environment encourages us to pursue our passions alongside our studies, fostering well-rounded personal development. Time management was a key challenge shared by Yao Li, and it's a common hurdle many students face. Balancing coursework and extracurricular commitments, especially in a dynamic setting like RP, pushes students to develop critical organizational skills early on. This balance not only prepares students academically but also builds resilience and adaptability for future endeavors. The mention of Republic Polytechnic’s name in the images reminds me of the supportive campus atmosphere. From my visits, RP offers facilities and resources that enable students to excel both in classrooms and sports arenas. Such support networks are vital in helping students like Yao Li and Caleb achieve their best. Overall, these stories encourage current and prospective RP students to embrace challenges, manage their time wisely, and aim for their own #GreaterImpact in their fields of interest.
