My friend Savannah passed away a few years ago from a very rare form of cancer. Typically, this type of cancer hits men 50 years and older. I saved this photo on my phone and look at it to remind myself that life is fleeting and is short and to enjoy everything out of life and not to worry about the small stuff. Savannah had dreams of being a surgeon, she would delight and watching surgery videos on YouTube, the cracking of bones, the splitting of the skin, the and the blood she didn’t mind it all. She thought it was so cool. There were some that I couldn’t even watch the videos with her and had to turn away because it was just too much, when I think about that, I laugh to myself. She also wanted to be a mom, she would talk to me about how in the future her and her boyfriend at the time would buy a minivan and he would deck it out with rims and a bomb ass speaker system. All her hopes and dreams gone the minute that she was diagnosed. so this story serves as a reminder to me and everyone else to enjoy life to the fullest don’t sweat the small stuff and to pursuit your happiness and dreams, even if they seem far away.
