Medical supplies on ships are often pricey, and motion sickness or unexpected aches can strike any time, so having your own stash avoids hassle and expense. Carrying cash for tipping is also crucial—it’s not just about convenience but also enhancing your experience. For example, tipping your bartender upfront often leads to better service throughout your cruise. I can’t sleep without white noise, so bringing a portable fan is a game-changer for me. It improves airflow and covers ambient noise that might otherwise disrupt rest. Lastly, a cruise-approved power strip with multiple USB and AC outlets solves the issue of limited cabin sockets, especially near the bed where you often charge your devices. These items, vetted through real-life trial and error, helped me enjoy my cruises more comfortably and with less stress.
