secondly here are some alternatives to doomscrolling that i personally love and think you will too… <3

• tarot: my current favorite form of divination outside of just literally talking to myself outside and seeing what the wind feels like in response lmaoo if you know you know. not every form of divination needs tools… the earliest forms were just sitting in nature and LISTENING.

• content creation: when i say create for your soul and not your body i do NOT mean this in the sense of modesty (ew) i mean it literally. we get so caught up with showing our physical selves that we forget to create things that actually bring us joy. youtube is my new outlet im actually obsessed with it. i was expecting to feel more pressure when posting on there but it’s the opposite, feels natural.

• working out: you do not need a gym membership or expensive pilates classes for this i promise. i have abs and im socially anxious it can definitely be done lmaoo. but on a real note this slide is less about appearance and more about mental health. working out and moving my body genuinely caused such a snowball effect of positivity in my life. i quit nicotine, started taking my meds every day, posting more consistently, EATING, etc. it doesn’t matter if its stretching, walks, yoga, lifting, pilates, whatever. the best workout for you is simply whichever you enjoy most.

• reading: for the love of glob please pick up a book. any book. yes that was an adventure time reference and yes i stand on the fact that a good fiction book with complex and empathic characters will teach you more than any self help book ever could. my fav classic is “emma” & modern is “exorcism of faeries”. we are living in a time where everyone is trying to push anti-intellectualism and the “it’s not that deep” crowd is growing larger. please do better.

• spending time with family: this is self explanatory and so good for you. it’s the best version of touching grass and being grounded. especially when it’s the family you’ve CHOSEN. the family that chose you back. whether that’s your partner, fur babies, a coven or friends it’s all family !! mine is nathan <3

• make a journal: okay i had SO much fun with this one. i took an old gratitude journal from years ago that i never really used and glued scrap fabric onto it. (also drew a pentagram under the lace for protection) i loveeee how it came out !! it’s made with pajama pants, an old bra, nathan’s underwear, glitter tape, and pajama pants lmaoo use what you have this was free to make. there’s also just something so inspiring about the process.

• create a journal (and/ or) a book of shadows: i’ve been writing in my grimoire for around 4 years now and i’m only just now halfway through but i think the slow process is so rewarding and beautiful. you don’t have to rush it !!
