Maybe I’ll see her next year 😅🤪 #summerpregnancy #pregnantinsummer #23weekspregnant #octoberduedate #hotgirlsummer
Being pregnant in the summer can be both beautiful and challenging. At 23 weeks pregnant with an October due date, I found myself watching my usual summer activities pass me by, especially moments that I’d usually celebrate as part of my hot girl summer. The heat can feel more intense, and sometimes it’s hard not to feel left out of the energetic summer vibe. One of the biggest lessons I learned was prioritizing hydration and comfort. Drinking plenty of water became a daily ritual not just for me but for my baby’s health too. I made sure to wear breathable and loose clothing to cope with the heat, which helped a lot in keeping cool and preventing overheating. I also discovered the importance of pacing myself and listening to my body. Instead of long outdoor adventures, I opted for shorter walks during cooler parts of the day, like early morning or late evening. This shift helped me stay active without overexertion, which is crucial during pregnancy. Another unexpected but enjoyable aspect was embracing a different kind of 'summer glow' — the pregnancy glow. Accepting that my summer looked different this year allowed me to focus on self-care and the incredible journey of bringing new life into the world. To other moms-to-be experiencing summer pregnancy, remember to treat yourself gently and find joy in the small moments. Whether it’s cooling off with a refreshing drink, enjoying shaded nature spots, or simply relaxing indoors with a good book or your favorite shows, your summer can still be special. Looking forward, the anticipation of welcoming a baby in October keeps me motivated and excited despite the heat. Overall, summer pregnancy has taught me resilience, adaptation, and a new appreciation for the season from a different perspective. I hope sharing these experiences helps others embrace their own summer pregnancies with confidence and care.
