Things I do when I’m feeling insecure

1.) Pamper myself:

I grew up in a household where we were extremely harsh on another and ourselves. Being on my healing journey has helped me to realize that a lot of my insecurities and anxieties have stemmed from this so now I feel myself being overly critical of myself, I make sure to give Some extra love and care to myself and my body.

2.)Practicing my make up:

I love to invest my time into things that make me feel like the best version of myself. I’ve always wanted to learn how to do make up and I love how confident it makes me feel so I take time to practice, especially when anxiety spikes. it gives my mind some time to rest and focus on being present, it’s a fun little task I get to do to stop thinking about things that are not serving me.

3.) Reminding myself of my accomplishments:

A lot of my insecurities and sense of self-worth is rooted in my work and how well it is done or how efficient I can get it done. During stagnant times the insecurity can get too much and I take that time to reflect on all that I’ve done and how far I’ve come.

By recognizing your progress over time, you remind yourself of your capabilities and resilience. With the right mindset and practices, it’s possible to transform insecurity into confidence, embracing your unique journey of personal development.

Things I STOPPED doing for my mental health!
Listening to sad music- I love sad music, I think it’s beautiful and relatable. But the reality is it does not help in any way shape or form. It puts you in a negative mindset and you end up in a never ending loop. You’re sad so you listen to sad music, which makes you more sad. And so it repeats.
