Though I can’t go back in time, I can tell you why I would make @Every Woman’s Marathon my first marathon!
Spend marathon weekend with me and find out why!
It was SO fun to see so many of you on the course and meet you throughout the weekend. Thanks for making it so special. And congratulations to all the first time marathoners!!!
Thank you to my milk partner TruMoo for making this ALL possible. Cheers to ALL the chocolate milkshakes and sips after my long runs, hard training sessions, and now into my off season!

After my incredible experience at Every Woman's Marathon, I wanted to share a few more insights for anyone else considering this truly special race – especially if you're thinking about it for your first marathon! It's not just about running; it's about the entire journey and community. Embracing the Uniquely Supportive Vibe What truly sets Every Woman's Marathon apart, beyond just being a race for women, is the palpable sense of acceptance and encouragement. As mentioned in my initial thoughts, it’s far from intimidating. The Marathon Captains do an amazing job of fostering a welcoming atmosphere, whether it’s your first race or your twentieth. Forget about obsessing over a specific 'FINISH TIME' or running 'HOURS AND UNDER' – here, the focus is on celebrating every step and every achievement. I loved seeing all the 'fun and bright colors' people wore, adding to the joyful and non-competitive spirit. It’s a place where everyone genuinely wants to see you succeed, and that support makes all the difference when those miles start to feel long. It’s truly empowering to be surrounded by so many women on such an incredible journey. Navigating the Course with Confidence My previous thoughts touched on the beautiful course, but let's dive a little deeper into what makes it so runner-friendly. While every course has its challenges, the support from the spectators is constant and uplifting. What really stood out to me, and is a huge practical win for women, are the amenities along the route: those 'clean bathrooms, tampons and deodorant' were an absolute game-changer! It's a small detail that speaks volumes about how thoughtfully this race is organized for its participants. The course felt respectful of space, too – no frantic jostling, just a shared path towards the finish. Knowing these details can really help ease any pre-race nerves about logistics and comfort. Beyond the Finish Line: Celebrating and Recovering Crossing that finish line at Every Woman's Marathon truly makes you feel like a 'superstar,' and having someone like Des Linden hand you your medal is an unforgettable moment! But the race experience doesn't end there. Think about your recovery strategy. For me, TruMoo chocolate milk was my go-to throughout my training and after the race, thanks to my amazing sponsor, Team Milk. It’s a fantastic way to replenish and kickstart recovery. Don’t forget to celebrate your accomplishment, connect with fellow runners, and soak in the post-race atmosphere. Take time to stretch, refuel, and most importantly, reflect on what you just achieved. This marathon isn’t just a race; it’s an experience that leaves you feeling strong, supported, and ready for whatever challenge comes next. I'm already looking forward to next year!
