Favorite Products as a First Time Mom

My Baby is currently 8 weeks old, so I’m no expert, but so far these are my favorite baby products and why! 🫶🏻

Bottom Zip Sleepers

> Better than double zippers in my opinion, double zips are difficult to get off when my son inevitably pees on himself 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Huggies

> Favorite diapers! Occasional blowouts when he poops A LOT, but they do hold up really well! It takes a lot for them to leak; they’re very absorbent. They also have super cute Disney prints❤️ Affordable and you can find them at any store

Rico Wipes

> I love these wipes. They’re very big, durable, and not super wet like some other ones I’ve used. These wipes are also very gentle on my baby’s sensitive skin

Dr Browns Bottles

> My baby has always done best with these bottles out of the few I’ve tried. The Lansinoh bottles were too fast for him and the Mam always leaked. Washing the extra parts is kind of a pain but it’s definitely worth it. There’s a reason so many parents love these bottles!

Boon Cacti Bottle Brush Set

> This set is the cutest! It looks so cute next to our sink and it is equally functional. I especially recommend this set if you use the Dr Browns bottles because the little brushes are perfect to get in all the small spaces on the air vent.

Phillips Avent Soothie Pacifiers

> Again, there’s a reason these are so popular!! We’ve only tried these and Mam which baby never liked but he loves these. Highly recommend, honestly wouldn’t even bother buying anything else!

Oogiebear

> Those suction bulbs barely work, especially if the boogers are dry in their nose. We live in the desert and have very cold, dry winters, so my boy always has a stuffy nose. Baby hates the Oogiebear, unfortunately; but it really is a good product. It’s designed so that you can’t stick it too far up they’re nose to hurt them which is great. It also works well on earwax!

Natural Essentials Lil’ Peepers Eyelid Wipes

> Baby’s eyes can often get a lot of eye boogers when they are young, because they’re tear ducts are not developed when they are born. I had no idea about this when I had my son and his eyes were always so goopy and crusty. They gave us a few saline wipes to take home from the hospital, but when those ran out (quickly), I was so glad I find these. They are a little pricey, but so worth it as we use them very often.

Haakaa Electric Nail Trimmer

> I know I’m not alone when I say I was so nervous about trimming my baby’s nails with clippers out of fear of trimming them too short or accidentally nicking his finger. I saw this product and bought it long before he was born and I love it! It has a light on the end so you can see well, and the files are so gentle. I accidentally get his skin a lot and it doesn’t hurt him at all. It has different attachments for the age they are, and also adult ones, which is kinda nice! If you’re nervous about clipping baby’s nails, just get this!

Honorable Mention: Wipe warmer

> We use the Hiccapop wipe warmer. It’s definitely not essential but really nice to have. The first few weeks my baby could barely stand the cold wipes and this saved so many tears. He doesn’t mind cold wipes as much now that he’s more used to diaper changes, but it’s still nice to have, especially if I’m wiping down his tummy or hands, etc I feel bad putting such a cold wipe on him 🥶 This is a great product to get second hand if you don’t want to spend much extra money on the non-essentials :)
