It’s been raining a lot lately, so this evening I decided there was no better time than now to check out the falls at Geary Lake. The last time I visited, they were completely dry, so I was excited to see them flowing.
It was so peaceful being out there—hearing the water in the distance, listening to the birds chirping, and watching everyone simply unwind on a beautiful Sunday evening. There was a sense of calmness that I definitely needed today.
I’m glad I made the trip out there to recharge, connect with nature, and get my walk in. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is step away for a moment and let nature do its thing. #naturetherapy #junctioncityks #natureheals #fypシ゚viral #kansas
Visiting Geary Lake Falls after heavy rainfall is truly a rejuvenating experience. The contrast between the dry falls during previous visits and the current flowing water highlights how nature’s changes can deeply impact your mood and outlook. I found that the sound of cascading water combined with the natural sounds of birds made my visit a perfect form of nature therapy. Taking time for a quiet walk not only allowed me to get some mild exercise but also helped clear my mind from the stresses of daily life. Walking in such serene surroundings encourages mindfulness, where you become fully present, appreciating the small details like rustling leaves and the pattern of light on the water. Geary Lake, located near Junction City, Kansas, offers a simple yet effective way to recharge on a weekend. The peaceful atmosphere is ideal for anyone looking to unplug from technology and reconnect with nature’s healing effects. Whether visiting alone or with friends, it’s a great spot to nurture your mental and emotional well-being. For those who have not been, I recommend planning a visit after a rain to see the falls at their best. Bring comfortable walking shoes and perhaps a picnic to fully enjoy this natural setting. Such moments remind us of the importance of slowing down and taking time for ourselves in busy lives.
