「札幌の夏休みホテル」で探している人って、観光だけじゃなく“ホテル滞在そのものが楽しい”場所を求めてることが多いと思います。私もまさにそれで、暑い日や雨の日でも予定が崩れないホテルを探して、ガトーキングダムサッポロにしました。 まず良かったのは、チェックイン前後の動きがラクなこと。札幌駅から車で約30分＆無料シャトルバスがあるので、レンタカーなしでも行きやすいです。夏休みは移動だけで疲れがちなので、アクセスがシンプルなのはかなり助かりました。 夏の過ごし方のポイントは「混む時間をずらす」こと。プールはお昼前後が一番人が増えやすい印象だったので、到着したら先に部屋で荷物を整えて、夕方〜夜に入るか、翌朝の早めに入るのが快適でした。室内プールは年中OKだから、外が涼しくても遊べるのが強いです。 館内はあったかくて、建物内にヤシの木があるのもあって、北海道なのにちょっと南国感があるのがテンション上がります。「ここほんとに北海道!?」ってなるやつ。子ども連れはもちろん、大人だけでも“旅っぽさ”がちゃんと出るのが良かったです。 温泉（スパ）は、プールで冷えた体をすぐ温められるのが最高でした。夏でも意外と身体が冷えるので、プール→温泉の流れはマスト。ホテル内で完結するから、移動時間がほぼゼロで、結果的に「時間が溶ける」ってこういうことだな…と実感しました。 食事面では、夏休みは朝がバタつきやすいので、朝食ビュッフェが充実してるのも大きいです。北海道食材が多めで、ライブ感あるオムレツは“旅のご褒美”枠。甘党ならデザート系も楽しみにしてほしいポイントで、売ってるレベルのケーキが並ぶと満足感が段違いでした。 最後に持ち物のメモ。水着・サンダル・羽織り（館内移動用）・濡れた物を入れる袋があると安心。夏休みの札幌で「ホテルを拠点にしつつ、1日遊べる」場所を探しているなら、候補に入れて損なしです。
