1. For the fabric try low stretch fleece or flannel (both are easy to manage) linked below
2. 3/4 inch elastic for waistband

Sewing your own pants can be a rewarding and creative project. To get started, gather your materials: you'll need approximately 2.5 yards of flannel or fleece fabric, which are great for this type of project. Begin by folding the fabric in half and laying your pattern down. You’ll need two front and two back pieces.
