Why You Should NOT Learn How To Knit ✨

Everyone knows that knitting is good for a lot of things, improves blood pressure and decreases heart rate, improves hand eye coordination, and many more things.

Here are a few reasons as to why you should not learn how to knit:

1. You will become addicted and knit everywhere you go. In public even! The airport, waiting rooms, coffee shops, etc.

2. Because of you will fall in love with knitting that means also buying hoards of yarn. And that’s not always cheap! Yes there are sales, but it adds up.

3. After you’re done with your projects you’ll end up with no room to store your amazing custom pieces of art. At first it will be okay, but you’ll be knitting a lot and you only have so much room in your house…

in all seriousness, you should definitely give knitting a try! It’s so fun and you end up with a finished item in the end.

... Read moreKnitting is often celebrated for its numerous benefits, from improving mental well-being to enhancing motor skills. However, it's essential to weigh the fun against some practical drawbacks. For many, knitting can quickly become an all-consuming hobby, leading to a scenario where you're constantly carrying your projects wherever you go—whether it's at a café, in a queue, or during a commute. The potential addiction to knitting means you might find it hard to disengage, leading to knitting in situations that might not suit it. Moreover, the cost of yarn can accumulate significantly. While there are sales, the joy of creating often compels knitters to invest in various types of yarn, tools, and patterns, which can strain your budget. If you develop a love for complex projects, you might end up with a significant financial commitment. Lastly, a knitter’s home can easily become cluttered with finished projects. The excitement of completing a scarf or sweater can quickly turn into regret when you realize you no longer have room to store them. You may end up with a dedicated space for your creations, but inevitably, most of us face the challenge of limited storage. In conclusion, while there are some downsides to learning how to knit, the process remains enjoyable and fulfilling. Consider these factors before embarking on your knitting journey and remember, the joy of creating can often outweigh the challenges.
