Italy airbnb that needs to be on your bucket list
This Airbnb in Positano was one of my favorite airbnbs we’ve ever stumbled across! We actually had booked a different place before finding this home and switched at the last minute! And I’m so happy we did!
This 3 bedroom 3 bathroom home is gorgeous, clean, comfortable, in an amazing location and has a GIANT porch — which I would consider to be the highlight of this beautiful house. The porch boasts unobstructed views of the stunning mountainside Italian city of Positano. We sat out here taking in the views every morning and every night!
I would stay here again and again and cannot recommend this Airbnb enough. The host was also incredibly kind and informative! 10/10 experience in a 10/10 town.

After my unforgettable stay at Solaris Domus in Positano, I wanted to share a few extra tips for anyone dreaming of their own Amalfi Coast adventure. Finding the perfect Airbnb here, especially one with those iconic views, can truly make your trip. First off, if you're eyeing a gem like Solaris Domus, I've learned that booking well in advance is absolutely crucial, especially if you're traveling during peak season. These popular spots fill up fast! Don't be afraid to message the host with any questions you have beforehand – I found our host incredibly helpful, and it made our stay so much smoother. For example, asking about local transport options or best places for groceries nearby can save you a lot of time once you arrive. Having a balcony with a table and chairs, like the one at Solaris Domus, was a game-changer. I highly recommend looking for places that offer panoramic views of the sea and the colorful hillside town, as it truly enhances the experience. Waking up to that sight from my bedroom, with French doors opening to Positano, was a dream! Beyond the comfort of your Airbnb, Positano itself is a marvel, particularly its vibrant, multi-colored buildings cascading down the steep hillside. To truly soak it all in, I'd suggest exploring different vantage points. While your private balcony will offer incredible sunset views, taking a walk down to the beach or even finding a spot higher up in the town can give you different perspectives of the colorful cliff houses as the sun dips below the horizon. The way the light changes everything, from the daytime sparkle to the stunning night view of Positano with countless lights illuminating the buildings, is just breathtaking. Don’t forget your camera! Navigating Positano's unique hillside layout can be an adventure in itself. Be prepared for lots of stairs – it's part of the charm! Comfortable shoes are a must. I found that embracing the walks was the best way to discover hidden alleys, charming little shops, and unexpected viewpoints. For longer distances or when your legs are tired, local buses or even a water taxi can be great options. If you're staying in a hillside house, consider how accessible it is to the main areas you want to visit. Ultimately, Positano isn't just a place; it's an experience. From the moment you see those famous colorful cliff houses reflecting in the sea to enjoying a quiet evening on your balcony overlooking the stunning Amalfi Coast, it's easy to see why it's on so many bucket lists. My stay at Solaris Domus truly cemented Positano as one of my favorite destinations, and I hope these extra insights help you plan your own unforgettable trip!
