This Caldo de Camarón Went Viral 🦐

INGREDIENTS

🦐 1–1.5 lbs shrimp, peeled & deveined

🐙 Optional: cooked octopus, sliced

💧 Water (for boiling shrimp + octopus)

🧅 Small piece of onion (for boiling)

🧄 2–3 garlic cloves (for boiling)

🍅 1 can whole cooked tomatoes

🧄 5 garlic cloves

🧅 1 small piece of onion

⚫️ 8 peppercorns

🍺 ½ beer (Dos Equis Lager)

🫙 1 tbsp shrimp bouillon

🫙 1 tbsp tomato bouillon

🫗 1–2 tbsp oil

🧂 Salt to taste

TOPPINGS

🥒 Persian cucumbers

🧅 Red onion

🌿 Cilantro

🍋 Lime

🌶️ Tapatío

🥖 Bolillo

STEPS

1️⃣ Boil shrimp + octopus with onion and garlic. Remove seafood and save the broth.

2️⃣ Blend tomatoes, garlic, onion, and peppercorns.

3️⃣ Cook sauce in oil 3–5 min (don’t strain).

4️⃣ Add broth, beer, bouillons, and salt. Simmer 8–10 min.

5️⃣ Add seafood back in and simmer 2–3 min.

6️⃣ Serve and top as desired. Enjoy 🤍
