New year new me 💕
This year, I have some very basic goals that I really want to work to improve as far as general organization, and starting earlier to adjust my schedules a bit.
But the biggest thing that I wanna work on is finding ways to work outside of just the problem sets and assignments given in a course to learn the topics mostly because I’m in grad school and I want the focus to shift to understanding the topics rather than getting it done to say that it’s done.
As the New Year unfolds, many students set resolutions to enhance their academic and personal lives. One popular goal is to increase organization, which involves creating a structured schedule to manage time effectively. I plan to focus on not only completing assignments but also truly understanding the material. For grad students, this is crucial for mastering complex topics that require more than surface-level knowledge. Additionally, committing to early work sessions can vastly improve productivity. By starting assignments earlier, students can reduce stress and enhance their learning experience. Research underscores the importance of engaging with the material through discussions and interactive learning methods. Collaboration with peers can lead to deeper insights and a richer understanding of difficult concepts. To further enrich my New Year's resolutions, I am exploring various strategies to stay on top of my studies, such as utilizing digital planners, participating in study groups, and taking regular breaks to avoid burnout. Self-care practices like mindfulness and exercise will also be integrated into my routine, ensuring that I maintain a balance between academic responsibilities and personal well-being. These small adjustments can pave the way for achieving significant results.
