3rd trimester beverage

Officially in the final stretch of this pregnancy so time to prep for delivery!

Ingredients:

- Organic cranberry juice

- Organic pineapple juice

- optional sweetener (I skip)

I fill the cup with ice and then halfway with water (sparkling if you have it)

Then I put 1/4 cranberry and 1/4 pineapple (you can add less water but the acidity kills my heartburn)

I drank so much pineapple juice in my second pregnancy and the delivery experience from the first was NIGHT AND DAY!

Pineapple juice is rumored to help with a fast painless labor kinda like dates and raspberry leaf tea.

Since my first two pregnancies were back to back I was nervous about my second delivery so I drank TONS of pineapple juice!

I didn’t experience any painful contractions and I pushed my baby out in like a minute. So this pregnancy I’m running it back with the pineapple juice to hopefully confirm the rumor that pineapple juice is the key to an easy delivery!

I’ve found that combining organic pineapple juice with cranberry juice creates an enjoyable drink that is both tasty and potentially beneficial for delivery. Pineapple juice is often praised for containing bromelain, an enzyme thought to help soften the cervix and promote contractions, similar to the effects of consuming dates or raspberry leaf tea. While clinical evidence is limited, many moms-to-be, including myself, have shared positive experiences with pineapple juice contributing to a smoother labor. Adding cranberry juice not only adds a pleasant tartness but also helps maintain urinary tract health, which is important during pregnancy. To make this beverage, I use organic, pasteurized juices as seen on the labels from trusted brands to ensure safety and quality. I fill my cup halfway with ice, then add a mix of 1/4 cranberry juice and 1/4 pineapple juice, topping off with sparkling or still water to reduce acidity that might cause heartburn—a common issue in late pregnancy. Personally, I’ve noticed a remarkable difference since incorporating this drink during my second pregnancy. Labor was quicker and less painful, which reaffirmed my faith in this natural aid. For anyone wary about acidity, diluting the juice helps make it easier to tolerate. It’s also important to consult your healthcare provider before making any changes to your diet or adding supplements, especially in pregnancy. This simple blend is a great addition to your third-trimester diet as you prepare for delivery. Besides hydration and flavor, it may provide some natural support for labor while being gentle on your system. Most importantly, it’s a pleasant way to stay refreshed in these last weeks before meeting your little one.
