some of my fav (vertical) concert pics
hi guys! i go to a lot of shows in smaller venues, and playing photographer at these shows is one of my favorite parts of the experience. it’s been a moment since i’ve been to a show, so i wanted to share some of my favorite results with y’all to relive my experiences :)
i personally don’t agree with people who say taking pictures and videos takes you out of the experience. for some people, photos are a type of self expression and a way to enhance the memory, not disregard the experience. i love looking back on my concert pictures and traveling back in time to the show!
i have quite a few small-venue shows coming up (i’m seeing IDKHOW again for the impending gloom tour [for two different dates 🫣] as well as a few other artists), so once i have more photos to share, y’all will definitely get to see them!
what shows have y’all been to? do you have experience going to smaller venues? have any fav pics? any artists you recommend seeing live that play smaller venues? i’d love to hear from y’all!

Attending live music shows at smaller venues can be an amazing experience, offering a more intimate atmosphere and a closer connection with performers. In recent years, many artists have shifted towards smaller venues, allowing fans to enjoy an up-close experience with their favorite musicians. This trend has given rise to a community of concert photographers who document these special moments, providing fans with stunning visual memories. When you attend a concert, capturing photos can be a great way to express your enjoyment and preserve those memories. Whether it's vibrant shots of your favorite band performing or candid moments of fellow concertgoers enjoying the show, photographing live music is an art form in itself. Equipment like DSLRs and mirrorless cameras are often preferred for quality, but even smartphone cameras can capture breathtaking moments when used thoughtfully. Remember to check venue policies regarding photography, as some shows may have restrictions. Upcoming concerts to look out for in smaller venues include artists like IDKHOW, known for their engaging performances, and many talented musicians at venues like Iron City in Birmingham, AL, and Eastside Bowl in Nashville, TN. Connecting with fellow fans and sharing your photography through social media platforms allows for a vibrant community experience. Don't hesitate to encourage others to attend live music events, as the experience can be transformative. What small venue concerts have left a mark on you? Sharing your stories and your favorite captures can inspire others to cherish live music as much as you do!
