Starting with lunch at Nick the Greek, their prasini salad with chicken gyro provides a fresh and flavorful meal, perfect for fueling up before a movie. I always find that this spot offers a delightful balance of tasty, healthy options with authentic Greek flavors that keep me coming back. Heading over to the Metreon, catching The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm is an experience like no other. The fact that it is the first-ever feature film shot entirely with IMAX film cameras adds a remarkable layer of authenticity and visual impact. Watching a movie in 70mm IMAX truly elevates the cinematic experience — the combination of larger film format and crystal-clear visuals makes you feel immersed in the story. If you’re planning your visit, securing seats in row J is a great tip; it strikes the perfect balance between screen proximity and comfort, allowing you to enjoy every detail without any neck strain. The theater popcorn here is a must-have classic, and pairing it with the impressive visual and audio quality enhances the overall movie experience. Beyond just being a film screening, watching The Odyssey in this format feels like witnessing a cinematic milestone, especially in a dynamic city like San Francisco. If you’re in SF and looking to blend local dining with unique entertainment, this combination is an ideal choice. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, sharing these moments in the city makes for memories you’ll want to revisit. The fusion of tasty food, cutting-edge movie technology, and the vibrancy of San Francisco’s culture truly makes the afternoon special and worth every minute.
