Should the ring be a surprise? I think it really depends on you. Some may want the entire ring making + proposal to be a surprise. But for me, I have a clear vision of how I wanted my ring to look. Anyway I have always liked oval diamonds and I knew I wanted a timeless ring with a little twist.
