In 1181, MINAMOTO no Yoritomo transferred the divine spirit from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, one of the three Kanto districts, and called it Tsurugamine Hachimangu Shrine.
All 34 deities are enshrined, especially Sarutahiko Omikami, Kotohira Omikami, Yasaka Omikami, Asama Omikami, and Mizu Omikami as the deities of travel, and since the Edo period, when traveling to Tosho-gu Shrine, people have stepped in and prayed for the safety of their travels.

古河桃まつりの魅力は約2,000本もの花桃が園内を鮮やかな桃色に染め、春の訪れを感じられるところです。私も先日古河公方公園を訪れましたが、花桃の艶やかなピンクや白の花が一斉に咲き誇り、まさに圧巻の景色でした。祭り期間中は屋台も並ぶため、散策しながら地元グルメを楽しめるのも嬉しいポイントです。 また、Le Cafe Neufは子連れにも優しいカフェで、モーニングやランチに離乳食もあり、遊具付きの広い緑の庭もあって家族連れでの利用にぴったり。少し早めの時間に訪れるとゆっくり落ち着けます。 道の駅まくらがの里こがは茨城県最大級の規模で、地元の新鮮な野菜や特産品、特に玄米ロールが行列になるほど人気です。地元産の桃関連商品も扱っており、お土産探しにはおすすめです。 歴史ある鶴峯八幡宮では、源頼朝ゆかりの由緒ある神社で旅の安全や健康祈願をしながら、桃まつりの季節ならではの和の趣きを感じられます。美しい御朱印集めも人気で、私は旅の記念にいただきました。 古河エリアは花見はもちろん、グルメや歴史散歩も満喫できるスポットが揃っているので、春の休日のお出かけにぜひ訪れてほしい場所です。混雑が予想される週末は早めの到着や平日の訪問がおすすめです。駐車場や営業時間は各スポットで事前にチェックして計画的に楽しんでください。
