One of my favorites because they make my skin crawl. The way these beings are described is so disgusting and specific it’s actually shocking. I’ve always wondered if these Iron Age people (or maybe even before) were actually seeing the nearly dead people sick with some kind of plague they didn’t understand enough yet.
Or maybe it’s just myth, another one sent through generations and kept alive out of fear and the heart of the believer.
