She came in on a shipment headed to Mexico.
3… maybe 4 years old.
Something about her just keeps screaming at me.
She didn’t make it as a bucking horse so was discarded— it immediately meant her life was pointless and meant to be ended.
And here just stands… scared.
The kind of scared that sits in their body. This is where trauma continues - where their energy shifts. Where the healing has to begin from.
She does not deserve what was waiting for her.
I wasn’t going to fundraise for her. We already have Nyx we are fundraising for who’s going to training so I know adding in a second is a big ask.
But she has been sitting on me and I can’t shake her.
No more Pennys. I found my April Penny save.
So here we are.
Meet Daenerys.
Her fundraiser covers 3 months of training. At minimum, that gets her halter broke and safe to handle for basic care.
After that, we figure out her path. Either pasture or into the riding program. Whatever she tells us she’s ready for.
Either way… she gets a chance.
One thing I know I want for her — she needs the procedure that tattoos pigment around her eyes.
White horses like her almost always develop eye cancer without it.That one step could give her years she wouldn’t otherwise have.
She is so young. She should not already be this close to the end. She just needs someone to step in and fight for her. For us to step in and fight for her.
So let’s do that ⚔️#horserescue #help #donate #fyp #fypシ゚viral
Rescuing a mustang like Daenerys not only requires immediate care but also a dedicated long-term commitment to her emotional and physical rehabilitation. Mustangs coming from harsh circumstances often carry trauma that manifests in fear and distrust, which can make the initial stages of training challenging. Working closely with experienced trainers, the focus begins with halter breaking and safe handling to build trust. One important aspect for white horses like Daenerys is the pigment tattooing around the eyes to prevent the development of eye cancer, a common and serious condition in horses with light skin. This procedure is crucial for extending her lifespan and improving her quality of life. From personal experience with horse rescue, it’s remarkable how much transformation can happen once a horse feels safe and starts to heal. The process is slow but rewarding as the horse begins to trust humans again and shows signs of personality and spirit. Knowing that Daenerys has a chance for pasture life or even integration into a riding program, depending on her readiness, highlights the importance of tailored care plans. Community support through fundraising efforts makes all this possible. Contributions cover veterinary care, training, and essentials like feeding and shelter. It’s not just about physical recovery but also about giving these animals dignity and opportunity. Seeing the progress and the difference compassion makes reaffirms why rescuing mustangs is such a vital cause. Thank you for considering to support Daenerys’ journey. Each donation brings her closer to a future where she can flourish and inspire others with her remarkable transformation. Join this life-saving mission, and witness the power of hope and healing firsthand.
